I love Pilates and I always will!

I was the first who started to teach the Pilates method in Hungary in March, 2000. It helped me a lot as I had very serious problems with my knees plus I went through on a very deep pain (tragedy in my family) in 2001. It helped me to reduce the physical and mental pain. Since 2000 I have been in love with the Pilates. In the last 20 years I had thousand of students, clients.

“It is the mind itself which builds the body…” ~Joseph Pilates

Named after its German inventor, Joseph H. Pilates, a boxer and dancer who also studied yoga and Zen meditation, the technique encompasses more than 500 controlled, precise movements designed to stretch and strengthen the muscles without adding bulk. The exercises require concentration – working the body and mind.
The focus is on the “core” muscles – the abdomen, back and buttocks – together with deep, coordinated breathing. Correct posture and lower risk of injury are two benefits of the regimen.
The Pilates system emphasizes muscle balance, proper breathing and spinal alignment. This combines control of the abdominal, ease of movement and mental focus, Joseph Pilates’ focus was restoring the body to true balance.

Pilates fittingly called his method “Contrology,” (the study of control) and believed that it would help people to develop the strength and fortitude in body and mind, not only to accomplish daily mundane tasks with ease, but to live life to the fullest.

Pilates is based on the following principles: centering, concentration, control, precision, breath, flow.

Because Pilates is gentle and challenging at the same time, it is safe and effective for nearly everyone, irrespective of age or fitness ability, from expectant mothers to the super fit. It is also a phenomenal cross-training tool, helping you to maximize the sports and activities you love the most.

The medical community also recognizes Pilates as a modality that assists with physical therapy. Pilates work is often incorporated into conventional therapy to facilitate healing and protect clients from future injury. It’s so beneficial, in fact, that many people continue with a Pilates regime long after they have healed from their injuries. Pilates also offers tremendous benefit and relief for people who suffer from chronic conditions, such as arthritis and asthma. Because every exercise involves deep, diaphragmatic breathing.

Pilates helps people to correct postural imbalances, prevent and heal chronic back pain, and improve overall spine health.

Regularly practicing Pilates can change your entire body. Known for creating strong and long muscles and a leaner look, Pilates can improve muscle tones, supports beautiful posture, balances musculature, and teaches you to move with grace and ease. All of these can make you feel and look very fit.
