Staying off the Strip in Las Vegas – The Orleans Hotel and Casino

I had an opportunity to enjoy the hospitality of the Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. My accomodation was a very nice suite for a week and was able to experience many of the ammenities of The Orleans, to include the use of the pool, the spa, and the fitness center as well.

The Big Easy meets the Entertainment Capital of the World at The Orleans, located just a short drive west of the Las Vegas Strip.

Inside, you’ll find bright festive colors, giant Mardi Gras masks hanging from the ceiling and watering holes like the Bourbon Street Lounge, where you can enjoy a drink and live entertainment.

Of course, the casino offers a variety of gaming choices to include slots, video poker, keno machines, a multitude of table games, a 19 table nonsmoking poker room and a race and sports book as well. The 850 seat Orleans Showroom hosts a mix of big name bands, singers and comedians.

While I was enjoying my time at the pool, I realized that this hotel is perfect for families too. It offers plenty of things to do for the whole family from the 70 lane bowling center to the 18 screen movie theater. Kids can enjoy a session at the professionally supervised Kids Tyme.

There are also plenty of casual dining options including Alder & Birch, the French Market Buffet, T.G.I. Friday’s, the Courtyard Café, Java Vegas Coffee, and a food court housing Fuddruckers, Sbarro, Subway, and Baskin-Robbins.

My room was very comfortable, featuring such amenities as flat-screen TVs, hair dryers, coffee makers and spacious sitting areas. I loved the huge bathrobe.

The hotel has a shuttle service to the Strip (The Linq) and to the Gold Coast (sister property).

I really enjoyed my stay at the Orleans, I could work on my computer a lot as it wasn’t noisy at all and I also loved hanging out at the pool. Of course as I am a fitness person, I loved the gym too.

Compared to the hotels on the Strip, the Orleans has very  affordable prices. So, if you would like to save some money on a hotel room in Vegas and enjoy great hospitality and wonderful ammenities, Check out the Orleans Hotel Casino.

Should you be looking for a wonderful venue for a Conference, Conventions, Celebration, or a Business Meeting, please consider the Orleans Hotel Casino for your next venue.
