Concerts, exhibitions and other attractions to take place in six Hungarian and eight Italian cities. A total of 100 events are planned in six Hungarian and eight Italian cities as part of the 2013 Hungarian-Italian cultural season, it was announced yesterday.
The series of concerts, exhibitions, theatre and dance performances, film series and book shows was outlined at a press briefing in Budapest. Among the highlights, an exhibition of Italian Baroque paintings will open at the Museum of Fine Arts during the Budapest Spring Festival, and the Budapest Festival Orchestra will perform in Rome.
The cultural series will also mark the bicentenary of the birth of Giuseppe Verdi.In addition, Italy will be the guest of honour at the 2013 Budapest International Book Festival.
